The first strain is Gorilla Glue #4 and the second one is Gorilla Glue #2.

You think that one should be able to differentiate between the Gorilla Glue #4 and Gorilla Glue #2 and strains easily.

However, the Gorilla Glue #4 looks a bit frostier and also has a really good trim job. Generally speaking, the actual consistency of the bud is really solid. When you squeeze it, you notice that it has a bit of a gib in it so it’s not completely compressed. The trichomes look nice as well and you can see them clearly without the closeup.

When you look at it through a microscope we notice that the orange hairs are much more apparent and you can really notice the layout of the trichomes.

Generally speaking, the appearance of Gorilla Glue #4 is pretty good.

Onward to Gorilla Glue #2. Although the colors are pretty similar, the #2 Gorilla Glue phenotype seems a bit whiter. You can immediately guess that it has more trichomes based on the whiteness, which is confirmed if you take a look at it through the microscope.

It does have more of a frosty white look, but when you compare the #4 and #2 from a distance you can hardly notice the difference in appearance as they are very slight.

What are the Differences in the Smell?

The next important step in determining the difference between the Gorilla Glue #4 and Gorilla Glue #2 strains is the smell.

Surprisingly, on the first whiff, the Gorilla Glue #4 has a bit of a chocolate undertone. But you can also notice that it is earthy, pungent and chocolaty. The pungent side of the smell is much more apparent and you can sense it coming quite strongly if you keep smelling it.

The second phenotype of the Gorilla Glue is actually more chocolaty and a slightly sweeter. The smell is actually very interesting and although similar this one has a bit of a soy sauce smell to it. But just as an undertone. You could say that it has a kind of an oriental food smell undertone somewhere there.

So if we were to compare the two Gorilla Glue strains we can say that the #4 has a dank smell to it. The #2 is much sweeter although both have a delicious chocolate tone to them.

But when you break open the Gorilla Glue #4 the dankness really hits you on the nose and you can feel the pungent smell of it. But it also has an added unique undertone. It is difficult to describe it, but the undertone can only be felt upon breaking the bud open.

Breaking the bud of the Gorilla Glue #2 lets off more of that sweet and chocolaty side. The pungency is also there with the #2 phenotype but it’s actually a lot different than the #4 type.

The Taste of the Gorilla Glue #4 VS Gorilla Glue #2

The next part covers the taste of the Gorilla Glue #4 VS Gorilla Glue #2 strain. Of course, in order to get the real effect, both strains need to be ground out and hit on a sober head.

The initial hit of the Gorilla Glue #4 is very favorable. The flavor really comes through on the initial hit and is more than enjoyable and you can get a clear Gorilla Glue taste.

However, on the first hit, the Gorilla Glue #2 has a sweet, earthy taste. In terms of flavor, it is not as strong as some other strains. But don’t get us wrong, it tastes very nice. Generally speaking, its earthy flavor accompanies the smell really well but the difference is that the taste is much fresher than the smell.

But the favor goes away really quickly. Once you take a hit of the bong, the taste is pretty strong in your mouth but after a minute is already disappearing. But it is a pleasurable experience and Gorilla Glue #2 leaves you with a really nice smell in the room after you take it.

Comparing the two, although similar and sweet and more than enjoyable, the Gorilla Glue #4 cannabis strain has a much stronger flavor that hits you right away.

What can we Say About the Effects?

There are a few differences in terms of effects between the Gorilla Glue #4 strain and Gorilla Glue #2. The #4 strain leaves you with a bit of a mixture of relaxation and euphoria. There are actually the two distinguishing factors when it comes to the Gorilla Glue being compared with other cannabis strains.

This strain is best to describe as being used for general usage. The THC percentage is obviously high as it makes you feel really euphoric and uplifting. It exasperates relaxation and happiness and generally leaves you with a good feeling overall.

The effects of Gorilla Glue #2 are actually pretty similar. It leaves you really relaxed and happy at the same time and as the #4 it can be good for general usage. Meaning, that there isn’t a specific time of the day for using it. You can smoke it in the morning, afternoon or evening if you want to get relaxed and feel great.

The Rundown

The Gorilla Glue #4 strain and Gorilla Glue #2 leave you with a really uplifting feeling and they come with a strong sense of proving happiness. Both strains are really good to keep you relaxed and uplifted at the same time.  This is rare with some other cannabis strains.
